as well as bus-metro transfer discounts, respectively costing the company NT$ 1.879 billion
and NT$ 1.188 billion in 2014, leading to accumulated losses of NT$ 3.067 billion. An average
of 494,000 passengers make use of the transfer discount per day. Furthermore, the ratio of do-
mestic tender awarding value in 2014 accounted for 98.35%. There are also a total of 5 Sheltered
Workshops at various stations across Metro system. And for eight days from 6-14 December
(closed on 10 December), the Taipei Children’s Amusement Park was open to underprivi-
leged children, local residents, Flora Expo volunteers, school groups, reporters and families of
the above for a special trial period. Approximately 50,612 visits were made during this time.

The Voices of the Stakeholders

A total of 390 valid questionnaires were received from stakeholders in the six categories iden-
tified by the TRTC. Meanwhile, the supplier CSR evaluation was conducted for information dis-
closure, in which a total of 10 suppliers were evaluated. In 2014, the overall annual passenger
satisfaction of Taipei Rapid Transit System was 95.8%, a 3.6 percentage point increase compared
to that in 2013. In the future, the TRTC will continue to strengthen communication with its stake-
holders, set targets for the Disclosure of Management Approach (DMA), and follow the pro-
cedure of Plan-Do-Check-Action (PDCA) for improvements.

A Harmonious Workplace

In 2014, the average reinstatement rate of employees applying for parental leave was 90.5%.
Investment in training and education amounted to a total of NT$95.05 million in the same year,
with a total of 278,998 training hours and 43,249 person-times of participation. In the future, the
TRTC will continue working on creating a safe, peaceful and delightful workplace, with zero-ac-
cidents and zero-hazard.
